Directors-at-Large are elected for a 2-year term beginning on January 1. The Board of Directors meets quarterly, usually in the Sacramento/San Francisco Bay areas and through online meeting software. Every Director is also expected to participate in a committee. Current committees are:
More information on CNGA Committees. The Board of Directors focuses on improving services and programs offered to our members, while trying to grow the organization. Being on the Board can help you develop skills in non-profit governance, program planning, and strategic planning. Board membership will expand your network of professional contacts and can bring you more recognition from your employer, community, and peers. If you are interested in serving on the Board of Directors, please fill out the candidate application and email a resume or CV to admin@cnga.org. Nominations are open until noon on Friday, November 6 (PST). Elections are opened for member online voting from December 1st to 20th. Note that you do not need to be a Director to volunteer with CNGA. Interested people can serve on committees, help lead a workshop, or participate on a Task Force to complete administrative tasks on an as-needed basis. To volunteer, contact us at admin@cnga.org. |
